Content Development Specialist / Staff Writer at TAN Books

Position Overview:
The Content Development Specialist / Staff Writer will be a core contributor to the editorial team at our publishing company. This role demands creativity and versatility as you will work collaboratively to create, edit, and repurpose a wide range of written content. Your writing skills will support our in-house writers and authors and extend their work into various media formats, maintaining alignment with our company's vision and ethos.

Responsibilities:
1) Editorial Development and Content Repurposing:
Work closely with our in-house writers and authors to complete and enrich their projects.
Transform existing publications into derivative works, such as workshop materials, blog articles, and podcast notes, expanding their reach and impact.
Maintain the integrity and voice of the original content while adapting it to suit different platforms and purposes.

2) Collaborative Writing and Editing:
Learn and match the voice of the writers you support and assist them in finalizing the content.
Polish and perfect drafts to meet the company's high standards for style, accuracy, and relevance.

3) Content Strategy and Marketing Support:
Engage with the editorial team to generate and evolve ideas for multi-platform content.
Contribute to the creation of marketing materials, including emails and social media, that effectively communicate the value and appeal of new products.

Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in English, Theology, Philosophy, or a closely related discipline.
A minimum of 5 years experience in writing, editing, and content creation, with a portfolio that demonstrates your range and depth.
A solid understanding of Catholic intellectual traditions and principles, with the ability to reflect them in your work.
Outstanding skills in writing, editing, and communicating ideas clearly and engagingly.
