JOB DETAILS
The Office for Youth and Young Adult Ministry of the Archdiocese of Seattle, Washington is currently accepting applications for our 2010-2011 Young Adult Service Team. Team members will have opportunities to grow professionally, personally, and spiritually while ministering in various capacities within youth and young adult ministry. As members of the team, you will choose an area of ministry focus:
- Archdiocesan Retreat & Youth Ministry
- Outdoor Ministry
- CYO Athletics
- Archdiocesan Young Adult Ministry
- Parish Youth and Young Adult Ministry
- Evangelization and Outreach through Technology
Team members will spend part of their time honing their skills in their area of focus, while also participating in a variety of youth and young adult ministry settings at the diocesan level.
If accepted, team members commit to a year of service. This entails living in Christian community where on a daily basis, they will work together, share meals, pray together and share in ministry to the Church.
Service term is 11 months, starting August 1 and running through June 30. In exchange for a year of service, Young Adult Service Team members are provided with:
- Basic Necessities: Food and lodging, monthly stipend, and health insurance stipend.
- Summer Training Program
- Ongoing Formation
- Professional Development
Required Qualifications: active, practicing Catholics between ages 21-30 passionate about ministry with youth and young adult ministry, ability to pass an Archdiocesan background check.
