JOB DETAILS
Primarily responsible for organizing statewide prison ministry efforts of the Diocese of Charleston. Identify gaps in a Catholic ministerial presence at prisons - state & federal, jails, and detention centers. Develop curriculum and conduct ongoing workshops, retreats and other supportive activities for individuals involved in prison ministry around our Diocese. Also responsible for facilitating the social mission of the Catholic church by working with parishes and organizations in the Lowcountry area. Familiarity with the Social Teachings/Doctrines of the Catholic Church expected. Ability to work well with pastors and parish prison ministry teams is essential. Good organizational skills, maturity and ability to function with minimal supervision. Excellent benefits with generous paid time off.
