JOB DETAILS
The Diocese of Metuchen serves a Catholic community of nearly 600,000 people throughout central New Jersey. Presently, we seek an Executive Director of Diocesan Planning to oversee the strategic development and key planning issues of the Diocese. In this role, the Executive Director will be primarily responsible for the following:
- Establishing and directing the Department of Diocesan Planning
- Facilitating the development of a strategic plan for the Diocese of Metuchen
- Assisting in developing policies and procedures, as well as methods of accountability, for planning
- In conjunction with Diocesan staff, coordinate the development and monitoring of annual objectives and priorities that flow from the strategic plan
- Developing and implementing strategies for ongoing communication between and among all Diocesan ministries and groups
- Directing the implementation of synod norms, which were recently promulgated
- Education/Experience: BA/BS degree and professional/Master's Certification; or seven to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Religious Requirement: Must be a practicing Roman Catholic who upholds the teaching and traditions of the Catholic Church and who possesses a sound working knowledge of the Catholic faith and Church hierarchy
