Primary Function:
The Business Systems Analyst - Senior will work with CRS business units (support departments) to understand their business processes and help them identify ways in which technology can support improvements to those processes. S/he will develop requirements specifications for the systems that the Application Development Unit will implement. S/he will establish test plans and develop guides and training for the system users and support personnel such as the Help Desk.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Facilitate workshops with process owners to model and capture current and future state business processes.
2. Use visualization tools and other requirements analysis techniques to elicit automation requirements.
3. Document system requirements and assist application developers in interpreting those requirements
4. Develop system test plans.
5. Develop system user guides.
6. Develop training for system users and support staff
Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Internal: Information Systems Engineer, Application Developers, System Development Director, Business Unit Process Owners.
External: None

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
2. Minimum 6 years of experience as a senior business systems analyst and member of application development projects.
3. Extensive experience in business process modeling and system requirements analysis
4. Experience in developing requirements specifications, user test specifications, user guides, and user and support personnel training programs.
5. Strong IT project management skills
6. In-depth knowledge of business process and system modeling techniques
7. Experience in developing information architectures desirable
8. Knowledge and experience with visualization tools desirable
9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
10. Good interpersonal skills
11. Experience in facilitating workshops
12. Experience in business change projects and/or the use of technology to improve business processes and results.
13. Experience in the Government and/or non-profit sector is a plus
Physical Requirements/Environment: Normal conditions akin to an office environment.
