Job Description

Saint Pius Catholic School is a K-8 parish school that has been providing excellence in Catholic education since 1953. Combining deep-rooted traditions and current best practices, the school is dedicated to educating the whole child. At St. Pius, educators focus on forming the students to be Compassionate and Caring Individuals, Active Christians, Responsible Citizens, and Enthusiastic Lifelong Learners (Students who C.A.R.E.).

The school administration is accepting applications for qualified, dynamic, and caring elementary school teachers for grades 2 and 4. The ideal candidates will be able to provide dynamic and goal-driven lesson planning, to engage students with differentiated learning, and to lead with strong classroom management.

Qualifications:
• A Bachelor's degree is required
• A valid California Teaching credential (single or multi-subject) is preferred (or a reciprocal credential from another state)
• Classroom management skills with an effective, respectful rapport with students
• Some teaching experience with K-5 aged children
• A sincere passion for working with children
• Demonstrated communication skills with parents and colleagues
• Ability to utilize and integrate technology in a classroom environment
• A commitment to excellence, student-led learning and engagement, and high growth and achievement

Job Responsibilities:
• Plan and implement daily lessons in Religion, Math, Reading, Vocabulary/Spelling/Grammar, Science and Social Studies
• Provide academic guidance and direction to allow students to actively engage and think critically
• Provide timely and effective feedback for student learning and maintain current grades
• Communicate with school colleagues, parents, and students in a timely, professional manner
• Collaborate with other team members for excellent learning and growth of students
• Be present at designated school functions/activities outside of school days/hours and perform additional teacher duties as directed by the Principal

Base salary range: $56,953-$127,256 (advanced degrees & certifications not included)
