Job Description

School Counselor Leave Position - Job Description

Education: Master's Degree or higher.

Experience: 3-5 years of college counseling experience desired. However, those with less experience may be considered. Familiarity/expertise with Naviance, The Common Application, and the CUNY application preferred. FACTS SIS knowledge a bonus.

Timeframe: April 8 - June 30, 2024

Duties:
• Demonstrate commitment to Catholic values and mission of La Salle Academy.
• Counsel approximately 100 11th and 12th grade students on all steps of the college admissions process.
• Critique college essays.
• Process college applications and finalize college placements.
• Offer academic and personal counseling to the students.
• Communicate with parents, students, faculty, and administration regularly.
• Advertise and monitor college representative visits and Zoom calls.
• Keep detailed accurate records.

Salary: Commensurate with experience and credentials.
