Job Description

Administrative Assistant (PT)
The Church of The Most Precious Blood (Dover) and St. Theresa of Lisieux (Sherborn) are seeking a part-time (15 hours per week) administrative assistant to perform general office duties in support of the Pastor and staff. You will be an integral part of a small, congenial, busy group of faith-filled staff and volunteers dedicated to caring for the needs of a lively Catholic faith community. The successful candidate will be experienced, outgoing, and highly efficient. This is an in-person, weekday, and will involve travel between the parishes as needed.
Responsibilities
• Provide a welcoming environment for parishioners and visitors to
the parishes. Receive and direct calls for the pastor and staff in a
professional manner with sensitivity and confidentiality.
• Open parishes for daily Mass as needed. Secure buildings at end
of day.
• Handle routine questions about policies and refer to the pastoral
team when required.
• Coordinate calendars for both parishes including booking
funerals, baptisms, parish events, and ministry space use.
• Schedule requested Mass intentions
• Pick up mail from post office, sort and distribute.
• Maintain an up-to-date filing system.
• Prepare bulk mailings as needed.
• Prepare Constant Contact emails.
• Assist Office Manager and Pastoral Associate when and as
needed.
• Registration of new parishioners.
• Data entry into parish systems
• Conduct annual CORI certification for all volunteers. Ensure
completion of Protecting God's Children certification as needed.
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• 2+ years general office administrative experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new
software programs.
• Must be well organized, able to multitask, and effectively work in
a constantly changing environment.
• Able to prioritize and work independently while maintaining a
team focus.
• Experience handling confidential, sensitive, timely, and critical
matters using good judgment, tact, respect, and discretion.
• A strong service orientation.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Willing to pitch in where needed at any time.
