Job Description

The Catholic Diocese of Richmond is seeking an Associate Director for the Office of Christian Formation who will be responsible for Children and Family Ministry.

The Associate Director promotes the evangelizing mission of the diocese through coordination of the catechist formation programs, continued parish implementation of the diocesan Instructions for Sacraments, and guides parish systematic faith formation practices for both English and Spanish communities. A working knowledge of our online training for catechists, Pathways: Delivered, through the Learn Portal, is essential for this position, as they are responsible for managing course content and training catechists and tracking their usage.

The Associate Director supports the Catechetical Leaders in the parishes by providing the most up to date curriculum resources and researches best practices for family faith formation and sacrament preparation for Baptism, Frist Penance and First Holy Communion. The Associate Director provides annual training on Instructions for Sacraments for parishes and Deacons as needed. Collaborates regularly with bilingual Associate Director to provide training and resources in English and Spanish.
