JOB DETAILS
University Communications at Marymount University invites applications for a full-time Webmaster. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, publication and maintenance of Marymount University's Web site (www.marymount.edu). He/she will also take a leadership role in developing and designing the site's next iteration, to be completed during the coming year.
Responsibilities include developing site navigational structure, graphic presentation, and HTML pages; creating templates and supporting graphics in collaboration with the Art Director and Graphic Designer; overseeing content in collaboration with the Editorial Director; writing and updating Web publishing guidelines; utilizing information from user testing and site traffic analysis to improve the site and develop new functionality; posting emergency information; providing training and oversight for department Web managers throughout the University; and creating online ads, Flash presentations, and other special projects as needed.
Bachelor's degree; minimum two years' experience designing, editing, coding Web documents; proficiency with HTML/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Windows XP, and a variety of HTML authoring programs, as well as graphic and publishing software including Dreamweaver, Contribute, Flash, QuarkXPress, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint; ability to work as a team member in a deadline-driven environment; and strong written and oral communication skills in the English language is required.
Candidates will provide at least three sample Web sites that he/she had a significant role in designing and maintaining.
Preference will be given to candidates with a degree in graphic or multimedia design. Experience with ColdFusion and Ingeniux CMS preferred.
