JOB DETAILS
The Office of Campus Ministry invites applications for a part-time Music Ministry Coordinator. The successful candidate will provide music formation, music education, and practical preparation for cantors, choral and instrumental groups for masses on Sundays at 11am and 7pm, Monday evening masses, Holy Hours and other special events.
Responsibilities include supporting the mission of Marymount University and the division of Enrollment and Student Services; coordinating rehearsals and prepares music for Sunday masses and Holy Hours; coordinating and implementing music into other aspects of the Campus Ministry programs and helps with retreats, weekly Thursday adoration, some weekday Masses and Alternative Spring Break trips.
A relevant Bachelor's degree with experience in music and liturgy planning; or a minimum of two years experience in both music and liturgy planning is required. A wide repertoire of music, including both traditional and contemporary praise and worship; the ability to read, analyze, and interpret music and proficiency in piano and/or organ is required.
Candidates must be familiar with the Catholic Church, her teaching and liturgy.
Candidates must possess a current, valid driver's license.
Vocal proficiency is preferred.
