JOB DETAILS

The Student Activities Department at Marymount University invites applications for a full-time Assistant University Center Manager (Evenings). The successful candidate will assist the University Center Manager in the overall management and day-to-day operational needs of the Lee (Student) Center during the late afternoon and evening hours. Please note that the Assistant University Center Manager may work some weekend hours as necessary to provide support for large-scale activities.

Responsibilities of the position include assisting in training, scheduling, and supervising student building managers; developing and updating the Lee Center web page; assisting in the management of online reservation requests; assisting in the implementation and support of Spirit programs, Spirit groups, special events, student programs and activities; assisting event sponsors in the management of events and assisting with the coordination of the building set-ups for room reservations, conferences, and events within the Lee Center; assisting with the management of the fitness center, gyms, lounges and aerobics room; coordinating the closing and security of the building with the Office of Campus Safety; assisting in the management of reserving spaces and resolving scheduling conflicts; providing support to student spirit groups (Cheerleaders, Dance Team, Mascot, the Blue Crew) in developing student-led spirit initiatives; recruiting and supervising the cheerleading coach and dance team choreographer; and act as a liaison between the student spirit groups and the Student Development Office.

Bachelor's degree (B.A/B.S.) from a four-year college or university by the Fall of 2008 is required. Participation in or oversight of spirit programs, such as cheerleading, mascots, booster club, etc is preferred. One year experience working in a Student Union is preferred.

As part of a generous benefit package, all regular, full-time employees are eligible for 100% tuition remission at the undergraduate and graduate level after six months of continuous full-time Marymount employment.
