JOB DETAILS
The Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph is in search of an experienced and visionary individual to provide continuing leadership in the Diocesan Office of Worship. We are seeking a skilled and experienced leader. The selected individual must be an active practicing Catholic who supports the authentic Magisterium and is ready to work with parishes, other agencies and offices of the Church to oversee Diocesan initiatives of education in and implementation of Catholic liturgy. The Diocesan Worship Office Director will work with the Bishop, priests, parishioners, board, staff, and volunteers to develop and implement strategic plans, inspire and motivate all constituents to work on established goals, conduct public speaking and educational opportunities to parishioners, employees and constituents of the Church and provide Catholic centered worship leadership to all diocesan parishes and schools.
QUALIFICATIONS
Į A Masters degree preferred in Liturgical Studies or Theology and/or at least five years of demonstrated organizational and program experience, preferably at the Program Director or Executive Director level.
Į Competent musical abilities as a practicing musician and teacher are desirable.
Į A competent knowledge of Catholic theology and worship doctrine.
Į A demonstrated commitment to Catholic teachings and practice.
Į Proven organizing and leadership skills.
Į Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Į Effective interpersonal and relational skills.
Į History of direct staff management experience.
Į Skilled at building bridges between diverse groups, interests and constituencies.
Į Solid computer competencies.
