JOB DETAILS
Give interactive, skill-based presentations that support abstinence and other healthy choices in classrooms, after-school programs, and youth groups.
∙ Actively recruit youth volunteers and Promises actors in classroom and youth group presentations and events.
∙ Train, schedule, supervise, and maintain youth leadership volunteers.
∙ Assist with and transport youth leaders for classroom presentations.
∙ Implement media project contests in health education classrooms.
∙ Organize and implement high school clubs that support students in their decision to be abstinent.
∙ Schedule, coordinate, and oversee administration of surveys.
∙ Give anatomy and physiology adolescent development presentations on occasion in elementary schools.
∙ Staff exhibit display booths on occasion at conferences to provide information about programs.
∙ Provide timely program reports monthly as required by Executive Director.
∙ Attend staff meetings, conferences, trainings, and other development, as required.
∙ Other duties which will be assigned.
∙ Accept the guidance of the Schools Programs Manager and Executive Director in the spirit of cooperation and establishing and maintaining an honest and professional working relationship.
Education: BA, BS, and/or supervisory and work experience with youth.
Experience: Minimum one year experience working with adolescents.
Abilities, skills, and knowledge:
Reliable, confidential, accountable, highly energetic and self-motivated, uses time effectively and follows through, conducts tasks without on-site supervision, accepts direction well and works well with others, excellent verbal communication and organizational skills, high energy. Proven ability to work effectively with youth, especially in the area of premarital abstinence education. Competent in the use of Office 2007 applications. Valid driver's license required; some travel with occasional evening and week-end work.
Direct Supervisory Relationship: Schools Programs Manager.
