JOB DETAILS
Overbrook School has an opening for a junior high math teacher beginning in the 2008-2009 school year.
The math curriculum encompasses 6th through 8th grade math, including pre-algebra and algebra. Math education at Overbrook challenges students in order to prepare them for the rigors of high school level math. Additional faculty responsibilities include duties associated with a homeroom, heading the school's math team, organizing educational field trips, serving on school committees, and supporting the programs of Overbrook School.
Candidates should have the following qualifications:
-Master's degree preferred
-At least 2 years experience in the classroom
-The ability to conduct creative and relevant hands-on projects with students
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Strong work ethic
-Commitment to the mission and values of Overbrook School
