JOB DETAILS
Working closely with the Executive Director and other CWSP staff, the Program Coordinator will share responsibility for the following:
- planning and implementation of the summer workforce training,
- building and maintaining relationships with the students' supervisors (corporate clients) to enhance student performance and mediate jobsite conflicts
- addressing and enforcing all school policies with an emphasis on discipline, professionalism, and dress code
- researching prospective corporate clients and performing sales calls
- occasionally conducting sales meetings to secure jobs for the students
- maintaining the database
- assisting with event-planning for job procurement, student-parent orientation, client appreciation
- coordinating the revision, inventory, and distribution of promotional materials
- coordinating transportation to & from the job sites (including planning routes, coordinating drivers and chaperones, and driving a van or minibus)
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is self-motivated with a go-getter attitude, detail oriented, able to multi-task and proactive in completing responsibilities and troubleshooting. He or she must have strong verbal, written and analytical skills and very strong organizational skills; be able to exercise good judgment which exemplifies professionalism; have strong interpersonal skills for working with various constituencies (especially with youth ages 14-18); demonstrate strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; and be willing and flexible to do what needs to be done for the good of the school's mission. He or she understands and appreciates the education mission of the Archdiocese of Washington, the charism of the Salesians of Don Bosco, and the Cristo Rey Network mission.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business administration, education, marketing, human resources, school administration, or related field; 2-3 years successful work experience; involvement with youth from urban or low-income communities a major plus; bi-lingual (English & Spanish) encouraged.
Must be willing to work some evenings each week and a few weekends per year for student interviews, orientations, etc.
Full-time position; available July 1.
