The Position
Under the direction of the Vice President for University Relations, develops, plans, coordinates, and implements the Universities Capital Campaign and University Board of Regents Annual Meeting

Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops and participates in solicitation campaigns.
- Plans, coordinates and implements the University Board of Regents Annual Meeting
- Writes/edits proposals for presentations to major donors.
- Confers with appropriate administrative personnel to secure closure of the gift.
- Develops and participates in a system of prospect identification and evaluation.
- Cultivates major gift donor prospects through correspondence and personal visits.
- Maintains positive relationships that enhance the image of the University.
- Works in coordination with the University department heads/chairs, faculty, University Relations staff, volunteer organization, alumni and other contacts to identify and prioritize University needs.
- Prepares periodic reports and other information for the Vice President for University Relations
- Attends all major University fundraising events and represents the University in a positive light to donors, prospects and other constituent groups.

Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and at least five years of progressively responsible experience in Development with demonstrated strengths in leadership, organization, and communication.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish an organized system of prospect identification and evaluation involving thousands of potential donors.
- Ability to work with the long-term goals of the Campaign and establish the strategy for reaching those goals.
- Ability to coordinate appropriate Campaign literature with support from University Relations staff.
- Must have the ability to travel and work flexible hours.
- Valid driver's license.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Ave Maria University and Catholic higher education.

Preferred Skills:
- Background in Marketing.
- Knowledge and familiarity with Southwest Florida is preferred.

Salary/Benefits
Salary commensurate with the background and experience of the individual selected.
