JOB DETAILS
Evaluate customer input, research content, recruit potential authors, supervise writing, edit curriculum materials for adolescents that are faithful to the teaching of the Catholic Church and that respond to the needs of teenagers and teachers in Catholic high schools and parishes.
Requirements:
- Advanced degree in religious education, theology or pastoral ministry
- Minimum of 3-5 years high school teaching experience; additional experience in a parish setting preferred
- A heart for teens and a commitment to helping them grow in their spiritual life
- Understanding of the needs of teens, , including their educational, catechetical and pastoral needs
- Knowledge of Catholic church teachings and theology
- Experience successfully incorporating current educational theory and methods into classroom work
- Knowledge or eagerness to learn about the publishing industry and about the educational and resource needs of youth and teachers in parish and school settings
- A proven record of success in a collaborative setting
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects
- Willingness to commit to occasional travel
