JOB DETAILS
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide administrative support for the one or more offices within the Pastoral Center at the Archdiocese of Boston.
- As first point of contact, serve as a polished, professional, knowledgeable resource for department and Archdiocese.
- Interact with various levels of internal/external clergy and lay personnel.
- Schedule appointments and meetings. Prepare agendas for meetings.
- Prepare and distribute letters, memoranda, and other documents.
- Organize daily mail. Photocopy, fax and distribute materials as required.
- Research and compile information for various reports.
- Prepare, edit and proofread outgoing departmental email and print communications.
- Process and track budgetary expenditures.
- Assist in organizing and publicizing events.
- Other duties as requested or assigned.
- BA or BS degree required, preferably with 2 years related experience.
- Excellent PC skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Strong planning and organizational skills and desire to anticipate needs of internal and external customers essential. Attention to detail is critical.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, and ability to cheerfully handle high volume of work and varied levels of stress. Team orientation required.
- Ability to handle confidential, sensitive materials and situations with good judgment, diplomacy, tact, and respect.
- Ability to anticipate needs and establish priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of the Magesterium of the Catholic Church and an understanding of the function and structure of the Archdiocese of Boston is preferred.
