We are seeking an Editorial Director to join our team. Care to join us?
Editorial Director
As the Editorial Director, you will develop and implement the strategic publishing plans for our trade books, parish resources, Liguorian magazine and Spanish products while achieving revenue objectives in collaboration with Marketing and Sales. You will acquire and develop new materials and manage the Acquisition Editors, Copy Editors and an Art/Design Department. While reporting to the President/Publisher, you will be a member of the Core Management Team with the Directors of Finance/Business Operations and Marketing/Sales.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in English or Journalism; Theology helpful
- 5+ years middle to senior-level editorial management experience of a group of at least five direct reports
- 10+ years publishing experience with at least 3 years in Catholic publishing with a proven track record of success
- Desire to make a major commitment to a vision of publishing that is unique to Liguori
- Strong analytical and business skills
- Experience implementing new processes, procedures and change management
- Availability to travel
- Ability to meet deadlines and oversee management of the entire editorial publishing schedule
- Experience with not-for-profit organizations
