JOB DETAILS
The Archdiocese of Philadelphia is currently seeking an Associate to assist the Vicar for Clergy to work full time in the Office for Clergy.
Bachelors' degree required but a Masters degree is preferred. Must have an advanced degree in Theology and a strong business background in supervision and leadership. Must be able to operate in both an office and remote locations throughout the Archdiocese.
Investigate, analyze and recommend appropriate plans for various interventions including negotiations and arbitrations; assist in the assessment of performance in a systematic way; first response for various interventions; assist in development and implementation of plan for ongoing formation of the priests (i.e. workshops, mentoring programs); staff the Ongoing Formation Committee and serve as lead staff person for this committee; support priests in areas of leadership development, supervision, communication, and employee relations with Archdiocesan offices; develop and deliver quality training for priests.
Must display strong communication, supervisory and organizational skills. Must be able to demonstrate skills to arbitrate and negotiate positive solutions. Develop and deliver credible training. Must have knowledge of relevant Church documents, Archdiocesan policies and have in-depth knowledge of the teachings of Roman Catholic Church. Requires confidentiality in all communications.
