Pastoral Minister for Youth
St. Gregory the Great, the largest parish in the Buffalo diocese, is seeking a Full-time Pastoral Minister for Youth. Youth Ministry is a major priority for this dynamic community of over 4,800 families. Candidates must have a burning heart for evangelization, meeting young people where they are at, and inviting them into a living relationship with Christ and the Church.
Responsibilities
∙ Working closely with fellow Pastoral Minister for Youth and Young Adults.
∙ Collaborating with Pastor, Parish Staff, Grade School and Family Faith Formation.
∙ Sustaining and growing established middle school and high school programs.
∙ Coordinating retreats, conferences and service experiences.
∙ Leading and expanding a core group of adult volunteers.
Qualifications
Applicant must be an active and prayerful Catholic, fully formed in the teachings of the Church, a good role-model and leader. Ability to lead youth in music ministry and worship would be an asset.
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Catholic Theology or related field is required and prior experience in youth ministry is preferable. St. Gregory the Great Parish offers a competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with education and experience.
