The Position
The Academy President is the leader of CFA and in that role will:
- Communicate
- Lead and empower
- Serve as chief fundraiser

The President serves as an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors, as well as the Executive Committee, and is accountable to the Board of Directors for the overall fiscal, academic, and spiritual integrity of the Academy. The President's primary responsibility is for fundraising and promoting the Academy.

Christian Commitment and Personal Qualities
The Academy President will:
- Be a mature, professing Christian who has an understanding of godly goodness, truth, and beauty as it relates to artistic endeavors.
- Demonstrate that he or she fully understands and is committed to the mission and calling of CFA, its goals and aspirations as a Christian film school, and how the unique combination can be a benefit in today's culture.
- Have a basic understanding of the role film holds in culture.
- Be a person of integrity, humility, and respect who models moral and ethical behavior.
- Believe that this position is a calling from God toward a greater mission.
- Be creative, but at the same time, be organized with demonstrated ability to manage.
- Exhibit strategic planning and development capabilities.
- Be a seasoned servant leader with the ability and nature to empower staff and faculty.
- Be a great communicator with demonstrated empowering, delegation, and follow-through skills.

Executive and Institutional Leadership
The Academy President will:
- Promote the Academy to current and potential donors developing a passion in them for our school and its goals.
- Fundraise to meet or exceed fiscal goals and capital enhancements.
- Participate in promoting CFA to prospective students and their families.
- Oversee formation of fiscal budgets and capital investment decisions.
- Establish attainable goals and strategies that enable CFA to be competitive with other schools offering similar programs.
- Be familiar with and able to carry out human resource management. Build a management team and teaching faculty to achieve CFA's goals.
- Oversee all business and school development toward the common vision in an approach that will best benefit the school.
- Develop and implement plans to address fiscal and operational limitations.
- Develop industry and community relationships that provide favorable exposure for CFA and how it contributes to both stakeholders.

Relational and Communications Skills
The Academy President will:
- Have an understanding and passion for training Artists in a vocational school setting.
- Communicate effectively and build relationships with individuals and organizations for the purpose of fundraising, strategic partnerships, and school promotion.
- Harness and channel senior management's significant potential, passion, and energy for the purpose of developing and advancing the school, its mission, and its student body.
- Promote management team's productivity by ensuring collaboration, communication, and cohesiveness.
- Possess excellent organization and follow-through capabilities.
- Understand the unique entrepreneurial atmosphere involved in building a school.
- Understand each staff and faculty's role and help develop them to be more effective in their responsibilities.

Academic Qualifications
The President is required to have a Bachelors Degree; a Masters Degree is preferred. Prior management and leadership experience is required and experience in a fundraising or college setting is preferable.
