These messages are created to inspire, educate and evangelize inactive Catholics and others, and invite them to live a deeper faith in Jesus Christ, in accord with the magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church.
Position Description
We are looking for a Director of Development that has a passion for the Catholic faith and the sanctity of life, and wants to help expand the reach of our organization across the United States. This position is responsible for managing the development function, including identifying, cultivating, soliciting and closing key corporate and high-end major gift donors. This person must be a self-motivated strategic and creative thinker who demonstrates confidence and clear vision in generating new ideas and creating fund development and marketing programs.
The Director of Development is responsible for building a strategic development plan, as well as building and mentoring a cohesive development team to articulate and foster the mission of Catholics Come Home, Inc. This position is also responsible for creating a donor database as well as collaborating on related advertising, marketing, public relations and community outreach to increase recognition and understanding of the Catholics Come Home brand. This also includes writing corporate grants, foundation grants, and sponsorships, major gifts fundraising, special events, direct mail appeals and planned giving.
This position is located in North Atlanta and requires a 30% travel commitment.
Requirements
- A strong commitment to the Catholics Come Home mission and passion for the Catholic faith
- Minimum 10 years development experience in non-profit organizations,
- Preferably 5 years experience working for a Catholic non-profit, with proven success in cultivating and closing major gift donors
- Minimum Bachelors degree in business or related field
- Experience writing and preparing narrative reports for contracts and grants
- Strong computer skills and experience working with donor databases
