JOB DETAILS
Saint Aloysius Gonzaga Parish & School, a medium-sized suburban Catholic parish located in Bridgetown (western Cincinnati), is seeking a full-time Music Director/Organist. Applicants should have excellent skills and experience in the areas of piano, organ, and choir/cantor direction. Knowledge and experience of the Catholic liturgy, liturgical seasons and sacramental celebrations are also required.
Duties include the following:
* Planning and providing music for four weekend liturgies, three weekday liturgies (one of which being a school liturgy), and all Holy Days.
* Provide music for parish funerals and weddings (additional compensation for weddings).
* Direct Adult Choir, Contemporary Ensemble, and Cantors.
* Oversee care of 2-manual, 10-rank Wicks Organ, grand piano, and newly renovated sound system.
* Supervise the maintenance and acquisition of our music library, including missalettes and hymnals.
* Serve on parish Worship Commission and stay current on all liturgical and musical developments to the Catholic liturgy.
* Working collaboratively and effectively with the pastor, parish staff, and volunteers.
