St. Veronica Catholic Church, a parish in the Diocese of Arlington, is actively seeking to fill the full-time position of Coordinator of Youth Ministry.
General Description: To develop, organize, coordinate and implement pastoral programs for Junior (6-8th grade), and Senior High School (9-12th grade) youth in the parish, as well as provide ongoing faith formation for adults in the parish, particularly through the organization and oversight of a faith formation speaker series.
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and training of adult volunteers
- Coordination with other parish ministries, maintaining a very active and integrated relationship with the Pastor and the Director of Religious Education
- Providing of accurate and timely updates for bulletin, pulpit and website
- Development and direction of youth advisory council
- Adherence to all diocesan policies governing lay ministers
- Maintenance of the Youth Ministry budget
Ministry Responsibilities:
- Catechetical Programs: 6th-12th grade (including Confirmation Retreats)
- Ongoing formation and outreach to parish adults, including but not limited to the implementation of a speaker series featuring topics and issues related to Catholic parenting, and the Catholic formation of the whole person
- Media Usage: Consistent and dynamic usage of the various forms of media in outreach and communication with youth and families, including but not limited to maintaining the youth section of the parish website and communicating effectively by e-mail and telephone with youth and families
- Active outreach to parish middle schoolers and their families
- Promotion and participation in diocesan-wide youth ministry catechetical, relational, and outreach opportunities

- Spanish speaking a plus
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
