JOB DETAILS
The Director of Gift and Estate Planning is responsible for the overall administration and programming activities for planned gifts at the University and will have responsibility for the identification, cultivation and stewardship
of a portfolio of donors. The Director will develop communications initiatives to promote information about gift and estate planning as an integral part of the capital campaign; will be expected to manage the estate planning budget; provide regular reports on gift and estate planning opportunities to the university's constituents; track gifts and proposals; be responsible for staff training, and coordinate gift and estate planning seminars.
The Director of Gift and Estate Planning should have extensive planned gift fundraising experience with a proven record of achievement; excellent communications skills; be a collegial and collaborative colleague; have experience in managing budgets and handling confidential information; possess strong research skills; have high ethical standards; and be comfortable using technology to support fundraising efforts. Additionally, the successful candidate must have a sincere interest in and appreciation for the values and mission of St Mary's University.
Baccalaureate degree required; master's degree referred, with a minimum of five years of progressively responsible and relevant experience in planned giving.
Salary range is $60,000 to $70,000, commensurate with education and experience.
