CatholicTV is one the oldest religious television programming broadcasters in the US. Programming is aired throughout the United States on selected cable stations and around the world on our broadband network.

CatholicTV® is seeking a Programming Coordinator for our management staff.
The successful candidate will ensure that all programs aired on CatholicTV and at CatholicTV.com are "creatively Catholic" in that they serve to educate and joyfully enliven the Faith of viewers or at least buildup and sustain the Church,not teaching anything contrary to Catholic doctrine.
- The responsbilities of the successful candidate include:.
- Research and aggressively seek out programming which has been produced with high standards, that is,exciting and fresh. Be conscious of the many "grassroots" efforts in Catholic video production which could enhance our schedule and attract a young demographic and serve to evangelize.
- Build and publish a weekly and daily schedule based on known viewer habits.
- Work closely with the Coordinator of On-Air Promotion to plan and produce promos in a timely fashion and include appropriate promos in the schedule.
-Acquire special programming (e.g. Papal liturgies and voyages/monthly classic movie about one of the saints (a special Documentary) and schedule for highest impact.
- Work with public relations to promote CatholicTV on cable/web/magazine/email blast/newspapers/press release, etc. well in advance.
-Work closely with Traffic Coordinator in Master Control for high standards.
- Publish a weekly schedule to electronic services.
-Publish a monthly schedule (2-page) for the CatholicTV Monthly (six weeks in advance of publication).
-Develop a 3-year plan for the CatholicTV schedule and program acquisition.
-Work with the Director of Broadband Network to establish logical connections between what is shown cable and what is available on the web site.
- Work closely with the production department to endure that future programming needs are represented in long-range production planning.
- Make use of every minute of the broadcast week to allow CatholicTV to reach its full potential
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
-A commitment to the mission of the Catholic Church
-Three or more year's hands-on experience in a corporate and/or agency environment
-Above average communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to collaboration with internal and external sources.
Education
- Masters level degree in religious studies or equivalent.
