JOB DETAILS
The Catholic Retailers Association seeks a part-time Assistant Director who will serve as the primary contact person for new and existing members and execute specific tasks related to the activities of the Association. This is a contract position and can be worked from home.
Regular Responsibilities
- Receive incoming phone calls, retrieve voicemails and emails from current and prospective members and provide assistance needed to service those requests.
- Maintain membership lists, board minutes, Association records, and Association newsgroups.
- Work with the Board Treasurer to bill members; process payments; pay vendors.
- Contact membership as directed by the board.
- Provide information as needed to the board.
- Coordinate conference calls of board, maintain notes, and disseminate meeting minutes.
- Alert supervisor of issues which need attention.
- Make minor content changes and additions to the website as directed
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Skills Required
- Self starter with initiative and ability to work independently
- Excellent verbal, telephone and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word with some experience in Excel and Access
- Competence and confidence in new computer programs and online applications
Tools Required:
- Assistant provides work location and necessary tools to accomplish assignments including at a minimum;
- a High speed Internet connection
- Computer with Microsoft office
- Independent mobile phone which rings only for Association provided
Compensation Structure
- Position is for an Independent contractor who will be accountable for timely completion of tasks and meeting quality of work standards.
- Compensation structure: Monthly retainer of $250 for the performance of regular responsibilities
- Additional compensation for member renewals and new memberships
- Additional project-based compensation set when new projects are adopted.
- Assistant submits monthly bills for retainer, and memberships and project based work
Supervision Provided
- Direct supervisor would be the President of the Board who has the role of Director, Catholic Retailers Association.
