Director of Development for the Catholic Education Foundation-
The Catholic Education Foundation located at the Chancery Offices of The Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas invites inquiries & applications for the position of Director of Development.
-Job Summary: Assist the Executive Director, Foundation Board, & respective committees in developing & implementing a strategic community relations & fundraising plan to provide the financial resources necessary to allow the CEF to fulfill its mission of providing scholarships for students in need in under-resourced Catholic elementary & high schools in the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas.
-Principal Responsibilities: (1) Facilitate & manage the planning & execution of fundraising & special events; (2) Cultivate donor relations, including all gift acknowledgements; (3) Advertising & public awareness coordination; (4) Coordinate internal & external communications for the Foundation(donors, board members, chancery staff, etc.); (5) Blackbaud/Raiser's Edge database management; (6) Grant management: writing, researching, application, monitoring & reporting.
-Qualifications: Excellent verbal & written skills; interactive & collaborative capabilities; organizational & planning skills; spreadsheet & database management skills; grant-writing & monitoring experience. Most importantly, must demonstrate good stewardship & have a passion for Catholic education!
-Education &/or Experience: Bachelor's degree; fundraising experience; prefer some sales experience; not-for-profit experience; demonstrated competency with Blackbaud/Raiser's Edge & Microsoft Access; a working knowledge of Catholic school operations would be helpful.
