Archbishop Joseph F. Naumann and the Board of Trustees of St. James Academy in Lenexa, Kansas, are seeking a faith-filled, proven leader to become the second president of St. James, the newest Catholic high school in the Johnson County pastoral region of the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas. St. James is a co-educational, comprehensive, ninth through twelfth grade high school with 604 students enrolled and 48 staff employed. The school, accredited by the Kansas State Department of Education and the AdvancEd international accreditation agency, offers a full complement of activities in addition to a college preparatory curriculum. SJA strives to emphasize its programs that promote Catholicity, including the newly implemented Community House System.

The new president will be expected to be a person of great faith, a registered and active member of his or her parish, in order to lead the school's faith initiatives. In addition, the new president must be skilled in financial management, strategic planning, and development.

Duties:
The president of St. James Academy is responsible for the overall operation of the high school, with specific emphasis on Catholicity and fiscal management/development. Currently, the president directly supervises the principal, spiritual formation director, chaplain, business manager, facilities manager, and development staff.

Accountable to:
The Board of Trustees; the Archbishop of Kansas City in Kansas.

Term:
This is a full-time, 12-month position.

Compensation:
Competitive salary and benefits, in accordance with the guidelines of the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas, and commensurate with experience.

Qualifications:
Catholicity -- called and committed to fostering a Catholic culture that can form disciples of Jesus Christ and vibrant members of the Church; "Self starter" -- ability to manage diverse tasks simultaneously; Excellent interpersonal skills; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Proven "relationship builder"; Proven leadership skills.

Requirements:
Practicing Catholic who is a registered and active member of his/her parish; Minimum of a Bachelors degree in business or a Masters degree in educational leadership; Experience in leading a Catholic mission-focused organization; Successful business, finance, development experience; preferably in a Catholic secondary school environment or other non-profit entity; Educational leadership experience, preferred; Successful sales experience could be considered.
