Full-time Assistant to the Chaplain:
Assists Chaplain (priest) in the pastoral and missionary work of the campus ministry. Involves spiritual and pastoral-type work, such as discussing religious and moral issues with students, giving talks, leading group and book discussions, organizing evangelization activities and getting new students involved. Must be capable of handling students' personal issues and questions with discretion and sensitivity, always in keeping with Catholic faith and morals. Advises and assists the Chaplain. Performs practical duties, such as coordinating details of events and retreats, maintaining vehicles, and managing food supplies at the student center. Must be flexible with work hours, though usually working afternoon until evening, sometimes late. Weekend work at times, especially for overnight retreats and outings, including a week-long mission trip in May.
