Job Description

Summary of Position:
To implement the goals/objectives related to the annual funds and other giving programs for Subiaco Abbey and Academy. Responsible for donor cultivation, solicitation of gifts, donor recognition and communication with special focus on major gifts for the Abbey and Academy.

General Responsibilities:
•Identify, qualify, cultivate and solicit major donor prospects.
•Nurture on-going relationship and make regular contact with 50-100 key donors.
•Develop a strategy for all assigned donors that engages and cultivates them and develop appropriate relationship building plans.
•Meet established monthly donor contact goals (35 personal donor meetings each month).
•Communicate donor intentions for stewardship of their gifts.
•Become and stay well-versed on Subiaco Abbey's and Academy's missions and be able to communicate this to donors.
•Report donor data and record notes of visits into Raiser's Edge.
•Complete monthly activity reports and expense reports.
•Assist in organizing and implementing development special events.
•Assist in the planning, execution and evaluation of all development programs.
•Represent Subiaco Abbey & Academy at appropriate meetings & events.
•Encourage major donor prospects to visit Subiaco Abbey and Academy.

•Exceptional organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
•Committed to relationship fund raising and is a "people person."
•Ability to help plan, coordinate and manage development projects.
•Is a practicing Catholic and holds consistent values.
•Live and office within commuting distance of Subiaco (ideal but not necessary).
•Be available to travel approximately 50% of the time.
•Willing to make a 2 year commitment to Subiaco.
•Adhere to the Association of Fundraising Professionals Code of Ethical Principles and Standards.
