Pinecrest Academy (Cumming, GA) is currently seeking positive, enthusiastic, and engaging teacher applicants to fill the position of High School Physics Teacher beginning in the 2017-2018 academic year. As a minimum, the successful candidate will hold a BS degree in Physics and be certified to teach college prep, honors, and AP level Physics courses. Ideal candidates will have a Master's degree in Physics with five to ten years experience at the secondary or college level, with a proven track record of success in teaching, designing lab exercises, and maintaining a Physics lab.
This position includes teaching 5 out of 8 periods a day, as well as mentoring additional clubs as needed. Strong communication skills and the ability to inspire students to develop critical thinking skills, innovate, and create are essential. The ideal candidate will be a practicing Roman Catholic, with experience and willingness to coach a major sport, who embraces the mission and philosophy of Pinecrest Academy.
