Job Description

Bishop Ireton High School, a Catholic college preparatory high school in Alexandria, Virginia, is seeking a full-time English teacher for the 2024-25 school year. Candidates should be able to teach college preparatory high school English courses with an emphasis on literature and the development of writing and research skills. Experience, including AP, Dual Enrollment, or college English instruction preferred.

Candidates will:
• Demonstrate professionalism in a collaborative environment
• Have strong communication skills
• possess a bachelor's, masters, or doctorate degree in English, education or a related field.
• possess or be willing to obtain a Virginia teaching license or VCEA license
• possess required citizenship, residency or work visa
• promote the Catholic mission of the school
