Job Description
Legacy Giving AssistantLocation: Birmingham (Irondale), AL; not remote eligible
How You Will Impact the Big Picture:
As the Legacy Giving Assistant, you will provide administrative support to the Legacy Giving team by printing and mailing donor requests for Legacy Giving materials, assist with Catholic Estate and Personal Planning Seminars, schedule travel for the Director and LGOs and help to prepare Director's/LGOs expense reports, and coordinate the production of Legacy Giving Communications.
What You Will Do:
• Provide administrative support to the DLGP (Dir., Legacy Giving Program) LGOs (Legacy Giving Officers) and SC (Stewardship Coordinator) in the form of mailing gift information, gift illustrations, and other marketing materials to both donors, prospects, and other allied professions.
• Maintain the calendar for the DLGP.
• Event coordination - schedule and facilitate the Catholic Estate and Personal Planning Seminars, both in person and virtually.
• Coordinate travel and assist with expense reports for the DLGP and the LGOs
• Maintain accurate donor records in the database and track and produce monthly Legacy activity reports and other database reports as requested.
• Facilitate with production of the Planned Giving Newsletter and other program and print and online publications.
• Safeguard benefactor information and strictly maintain donor privacy.
• Help to coordinate the quarterly Legacy Giving Team meetings, both online and in person.
About You:
• You have 3-5 years of administrative and customer service experience.
• You are proficient in data entry skills and strong computer skills in MS Windows, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, as well as GoToMeetings.com.
• You possess excellent verbal communication skills including pleasant telephone manner, good grammar and are patient, kind, and discerning in serving challenging callers.
• You exemplify solid time management skills and attention to detail,
• You are a practicing Catholic with demonstrated knowledge of the Catholic Faith and EWTN's mission.
Preferred Qualifications:
• You have 1-3 years' experience working in a fundraising environment and are familiar with fundraising principles.
• You are familiar with fundraising software such as Virtuous, Raiser's Edge.
• Bilingual Spanish/English.
Education:
• Associate's degree (Bachelor's degree preferred)
