Job Description

Position: Senior HR Generalist
FLSA: Exempt (Not eligible for overtime)
Pay Range: $90,000-120,000* annually
Schedule: Full-time, primarily based in the Greater St. Louis, Missouri office.
Reporting to: Head of Human Resources
Position Summary: The Senior HR Generalist at the Augustine Institute will play a pivotal role in partnering with the Head of HR in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with the organization's mission, values, and goals. This role will collaborate across the organization to deliver value-added HR services that enable the Augustine Institute to achieve its mission and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the organization's goals.
• Lead the recruitment and talent acquisition processes to attract and retain top talent.
• Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management programs.
• Assist in the implementation and oversight of employee development programs, including training and career development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with the HR team to maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to the day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Work closely with leadership and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity, and improve employee retention.
• Assist in overseeing pay equity and compensation programs, including discretionary bonus programs, commission, and career progression guidance.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Strong alignment with the Augustine Institute's mission to help Catholics understand, live, and share their faith.
• Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field and at least 5 years of human resource generalist experience.
• SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credentials preferred.
• Working knowledge of human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational development, employee relations, and performance management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, typing and use of office equipment, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will typically work in a climate-controlled office setting.
The base compensation range represents the low and high end of the compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including but not limited to qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
