High School Mathematics Teacher (Leave-Replacement)

Job Description

Saint Mary's High School in Manhasset, New York, is seeking a full time, benefits-eligible Leave-Replacement Mathematics Teacher to join its Mathematics Department effective immediately through the end of June.

Position Responsibilities
-Teach up to five sections of Mathematics, including Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, and/or related courses.
-Ability to teach AP Calculus, AP Computer Science Principles, and/or AP Statistics is preferred.
-Collaborate effectively with department colleagues and administration to support curricular goals.
-Demonstrate openness to professional feedback and a commitment -to continuous improvement in instructional practice.
-Participate in departmental, grade-level, and school-wide meetings and professional development initiatives.
-Contribute to the extracurricular and co-curricular life of the school community.
-Teach and lead students in a manner consistent with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and the mission of Saint Mary's High School.

Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
-New York State teacher certification, or active progress toward certification, preferred.
-Demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to fostering a positive, respectful learning environment.
