Frequently Asked Questions

1.) What percentage of the job is allocated to fundraising?

The fundraising that you do is specifically for your salary. Each dollar that you fundraise will go towards your salary, minus an administrative fee to cover taxes, payment processing, etc. The salary that you receive will be based on a budget that you complete in the first month of your employment--you will determine an appropriate monthly salary and begin fundraising to reach that monthly donation goal.

The first two months of employment will be primarily focused on fundraising, where you will undergo a two day training with SRS (https://supportraisingsolutions.org) and spend the majority of your time setting up meetings with potential donors to reach your monthly fundraising goal.

2.) What are your expectations for the fundraising aspect of the job?

The expectation is that within the first two months, the majority of your fundraising will be completed (you will have donors supporting you monthly to cover your salary). On an ongoing basis, you will dedicate around 4-8 hours/week of your time to steward existing donors and identify new donors as necessary.

3.) How extensive is your fundraising training?

This consists of a two day workshop with Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS). We will also assign you a personal fundraising coach who will be available to you throughout your employment to answer questions, mentor you, and give feedback on the fundraising process. You will also participate in a bi-weekly one-on-one fundraising meeting. We all want you to succeed so our team is here for you and has many tips to share.

5.) Do you provide housing?

No. The applicant is responsible for including housing in his/her fundraising budget. Creatio will assist with housing recommendations, locations, and roommates.

6.) Am I personally responsible for the cost of my own mission travel expenses?

No. We will cover the cost of all mission travel expenses.

8.) Is there room for advancement within your organization?

Yes - since we are a small organization, there is a ton of room for advancement. This will be based on your desire to take on new roles as you get more familiar with Creatio.

10.) What does the yearly schedule look like?

Creatio's schedule operates on a quarterly rotation, with the Fall being set aside for Support Raising, the Winter for training, and the Spring and Summer for Trip leading.

God has given us the great gift of calling us to serve Him in a very concrete way by physically going to the poorest of the poor. We have the great opportunity to look into the faces of the people we will serve. What a blessing! Many people do not have the opportunity to serve in such a concrete way; however, we have the opportunity to invite others to join us in this mission. God calls us all to be missionaries in different ways. "Some give by going, others go by giving." We have the ability to help others answer their specific call from God. Asking others to join in this mission is opening up a door for them to serve the Lord. It is a gift to them!
