Job Description
Athletic Media SpecialistKellenberg Memorial is seeking an energetic, creative, and organized Athletic Media Specialist to grow the department's digital presence. Reporting to the Director of Communications, this individual will be responsible for telling the stories of our student-athletes and teams through engaging multimedia content while maintaining a consistent and professional brand across all athletic platforms.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the school's athletic social media account.
Provide guidance and oversight for individual coaches' and team
accounts to ensure branding and messaging consistency.
Capture high-quality photos and videos at athletic contests,
practices, and special events.
Create engaging content, including highlight videos, reels, TikToks,
graphics, and other digital media.
Plan and execute media days for all athletic programs, including
photography and video production.
Develop and implement creative social media strategies to increase
fan engagement, student involvement and program visibility.
Coordinate the promotion of athletic events, accomplishments and
special initiatives across digital platforms.
Work collaboratively with coaches, administrators and student-
athletes to showcase the success of Kellenberg Memorial's athletic
programs.
Stay current with social media trends and emerging digital content
strategies to keep the athletics brand fresh and engaging.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, public
relations, sports management, or a related field, or equivalent
professional experience.
Experience managing social media accounts for an organization,
team, or business.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premiere Pro,
Lightroom, Illustrator, and After Effects) or similar creative software.
Proficiency in photography, videography, and digital content
creation.
Experience with video editing and graphic design software.
Strong knowledge of Sony camera systems and production
equipment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple
projects and deadlines.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and other nontraditional
hours to cover athletic events.
Ability to lift and transport photography and video equipment as
needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in athletic communications or sports
information.
Experience working in a K-12 or collegiate athletic environment.
Experience with live event coverage and livestream production.
Employment Type
Full-Time
Work Schedule
Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends required for athletic events, productions, and special projects.
Compensation
$60,000-$80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
