Job Description

Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of an Overbrook Catholic Teacher is educating students in the subject areas assigned while cultivating the ability to think and reason well in an environment of faith. All teachers form students in virtue, love for learning and inquiry that gives them joy, confidence, and wisdom for life. Each teacher nurtures children spiritually, emotionally, and academically according to the mission of the school.

Qualifications
Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church
Demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and student formation
Highly effective written, oral, and interpersonal skills to communicate with a varied audience in a collaborative spirit.
Ability to blend traditional methodologies creatively emphasizing inquiry to teach each subject well and integrate learning experiences.
At least 3 years of experience in K-8 education preferred
Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, master's degree preferred
Valid Tennessee licensure or ability to obtain
Completion of background checks and Safe Environment requirements
