Preschool Faith-Formation Assistant (Classical Liberal Arts)

Job Description

Angelus Academy, an independent Catholic liberal-arts school that serves students in K-8th grade, is accepting applications for a part-time teaching assistant position in Our Lady's Little Messengers (a preschool faith-formation program) for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. We are located in Springfield, Virginia - approximately 16 miles from Washington, DC and in the vibrant Catholic Diocese of Arlington.

Angelus Academy is a small, faith-filled community of caring educators and supportive parents who are committed to forming the next generation of Catholic faithful. Our small class sizes, unique Salvation History-based curriculum, and dedication to teaching in the classical tradition foster a love of learning, the mastery of skills, and most importantly, a sense of God's love and His plans for each student. Our school year is enriched by many special events, traditions, local field trips, daily prayer, weekly Mass, and monthly Adoration in our school's chapel. Our faculty and staff share a love of learning and a desire to continue growing professionally and spiritually.

We welcome applications from joyful and caring individuals who are eager to share their love and knowledge of the Catholic faith with preschool-aged children and to support the lead Little Messengers teacher. Some familiarity with Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (Atrium) and/or classical education is preferred, though not required. This position may be combined with other available faculty/staff positions at our K-8th level for more full-time employment.
