Job Description

Regina Academy at St. John the Baptist is seeking a Special Education Teacher. Applicants should be ardent about the formation and education of children. The role will encompass working with small groups and individuals with mild to moderate learning disabilities.

Primary tasks will involve adapting the existing curriculum in core subjects such as math, reading, and writing, creating personal lesson plans, documenting student progress and review and/or recommendation of outside evaluations.

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree and related certifications in special education. Certification in Orton-Gillingham reading intervention or the Wilson Reading System would be a plus. Excellent interpersonal skills and communication are necessary to facilitate our partnership with parents and collaboration with the teaching team.

Candidates must be a practicing Roman Catholic and willing to sign an oath of fidelity to all the magisterial teachings of the Church.

This position is full-time, salaried, and carries health benefits. Ability to pass all necessary background checks is required.
