Housekeeping Team Leader

Job Summary
The Housekeeping Team Leader supervises and directs the housekeeping staff at the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament. This position ensures the complete cleanliness of all Shrine facilities. The Housekeeping Team Leader coordinates with the PCPA's, Shrine staff and outside vendors to provide for all tools and materials needed by the housekeeping staff. This is a fairly active position with a lot of walking, bending and stretching.

Essential Duties
• Communicates effectively, trains, schedules and assigns areas of responsibility to all housekeeping staff - ensuring efficient use of staff skills and time.
• Responsible for timely, consistent and thorough cleaning of all Shrine facilities.
• Inspects and evaluates housekeeping staff performance.
• Manages cleaning product inventories and maintains cleaning equipment.
• Works with Shrine staff to support PCPA needs.
• Point of contact for all Shrine staff regarding housekeeping needs and issues.
• Consistent availability to support housekeeping staff and communicate with Shrine staff.

Other Duties
• Reconciliation of expenses for all cleaning supplies and employee snack room supplies, including inventory of all chemical safety data sheets.
• Keeps working areas clean at all times.
• Ensures all operational and safety procedures are carefully followed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements
• Leadership skills to lead a team to accomplish large goals.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Committed to upholding the mission of Our Lady of the Angels Monastery.
• Able to transport up to 35 lbs.
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in management of staff and cleaning of facilities.
