Job Description
Job Title: Receptionist (Full Time: 30 - 40 hours per week/Non-Exempt)Location: Franciscan Retreat Center (Colorado Springs, CO)
Date Open: Open Now
Desired Start Date: As soon as practical.
Pay Range: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour.
Benefits: Full Time employees eligible for health, vision and dental coverage, receive holiday pay and earn discretionary time off; may participate in employee pension plan.
Job Description/Summary of Job Duties:
The receptionist helps with managing inquiries and paperwork for guests of the retreat center, ensuring a positive experience for all guests who inquire or use the Center. This individual helps to coordinate and communicate with guests and the culinary department and perform the daily receptionist duties. All aspects of this ministry are to be done in a manner consistent with the Center's Values and Mission.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Helps to maintain FRC's reservation calendar and CampBrain database.
Helps to coordinate guest needs with conference room set-ups and meals
Helps to maintain contracts and take and note group deposits or payments via credit card
Prepares security report
Helps to prepare weekend staff notes per group
Helps with guest check-in and at times, check-out
Sends evaluation email to FRC & Culinary Directors
May send out documents to those who send inquiries
Answers questions regarding rates or booking process
Handles gift shop transactions
Is primary contact for private retreatants
May perform other tasks required by director
Minimum Requirements:
Two-year certificate from college or technical school; or one to 3 years related experience in customer service/hospitality, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent written, verbal communication and listening skills and the ability to relate well with a variety of people
Excellent Customer Service Skills
Basic computer skills
Basic clerical and office skills
Basic mathematical knowledge and skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to use these software programs without FRC training.
Ability to use Blackbaud Terminal Processing to take credit card payments
Work Environment:
Most of the assigned duties are performed in an office environment
Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, and vibration
