Job Description
C-Fam is looking for a tenacious pro-life lawyer to help impact UN policy debates as Assistant Director of Legal Studies. C-Fam is a leading pro-life voice at the United Nations, with offices in New York and Washington, D.C.The C-Fam team has been part of every major UN social policy debate in the last thirty years. C-Fam advises UN delegations and members of Congress. It networks with pro-life advocates in government, academia, and civil society around the world.
The "Assistant Director of Legal Studies" will report to the Executive Vice President and the VP of Legal Studies, having the following responsibilities:
• Represent C-Fam in UN negotiations
• Conduct legal research and analysis of UN documents, state and federal law, international law,
and foreign law.
• Identify opportunities to engage in UN debates through oral and written interventions
• Draft statements, reports, memos, white papers, legal briefs, and other submissions for
international bodies and courts
• Establish and maintain relationships with networks of diplomats and UN experts
• Publicize UN debates through C-Fam and mainstream media
• Use Artificial Intelligence to increase C-Fam's productivity and influence.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Juris Doctor from a U.S. law school
• Fluency in English (both verbal and written)
• Strong commitment to the pro-life cause
• Ability to work independently and strong interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with the application of Artificial Intelligence in legal settings
• Ability to engage with social media
• Must be fearless and willing to be persecuted for the pro-life cause
EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS AND LOCATION:
• Full-time
• New York
• Starting salary: $80,000/yr
