Job Description

Overview:
The Youth Sports Coordinator will help spread the knowledge, love and practice of the Catholic Faith through include but are not limited to: management of the Victory Sports program for RED-C Apostolate, assisting in replicating the program in other areas of the Diocese of Austin and beyond; the recruitment of families and youth to support the program through donations, volunteering and through youth participation; management of the program and the scheduling of persons and facilities. The Youth Sports Coordinator will ensure the highest quality and reliable service to promote the mission of the RED-C Apostolate.

Qualifications Desired:
• Thorough knowledge of the Roman Catholic Church & the Catholic faith, and a willingness to defend, explain & promote the same.
• Living a lifestyle that does not violate the teachings and beliefs of the Roman Catholic Church, according to the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
• Firm belief in and commitment to the mission of the RED-C Apostolate.
• Demonstration of high professional & ethical standards.
• Experience in youth sports programs management.
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience in marketing and promotions.

Duties:
• Establishment and Management of Youth Sports Program
• Collaborate with the RED-C Apostolate Director of Youth Sports to develop and manage the program
• Maintain the policies and procedures for the Victory Sports program, its participants, it supporters, volunteers, and underwriters
• Manage the practice and game scheduling system for the parishes and their teams
• Implement the educational curriculum and materials along with RED-C Director of Youth Sports
• Work with RED-C team to implement the annual calendar of sports seasons and events
• Communicate with Executive Director about the physical and financial needs of the youth sports program
• Coordinate with area parishes, parks department, and school districts to schedule facilities for both practices and games
• Perform routine general administrative/clerical support tasks
• Maintain effective record keeping systems
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Marketing and Promotions:
• Develop and maintain relationships with area pastors, clergy, parish staff, leaders, and groups in order to promote the mission of the RED-C Apostolate and Victory Sports program
• Give presentations to groups and individuals in order to increase participation base in the area
• Recruit local business underwriters for program support and expansion
• Have a personal presence at area parish events as necessary to promote the Victory Sports program
• Travel to area parishes, gatherings, events, and meetings to promote the mission of Victory Sports
• Perform clerical duties along with Administrative Coordinator such as mailings and newsletters to local participants in the area
• Form and maintain relationships with one-time, monthly, and foundational donors in order to fund the ongoing operating costs for the program
• Work with the RED-C Director of Marketing to coordinate outreach on various social media platforms to promote the program
• Perform other marketing and promotions related duties as assigned

Program Management:
• Work on a daily basis with volunteers, participants, and supporters to manage the Victory Sports program
• Ensure that all volunteers are adhering to RED-C policies and procedures and all diocese and Ethics and Integrity in Ministry regulations
• Receive and respond to participant and other feedback and requests
• Recruit leaders that will volunteer as parish captains for the program
• Organize, direct and manage all volunteer workers as they perform duties for the Victory Sports program
• Perform other program management related duties as assigned
