Job Description

Blessed Sacrament Catholic Academy is seeking a faith-filled, nurturing, and dynamic Kindergarten teacher to join our school community for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Ideal Candidate Will:
-Hold a Bachelor's degree
-Possess NYS Teaching Certification or demonstrate active pursuit of certification
-Have experience with early childhood development and instruction aligned to the NYS Next Generation Standards
-Use technology to enhance instruction and student engagement
-Foster a warm, structured, and supportive classroom environment
-Collaborate with faculty, staff, and families
-Be committed to professional growth and Catholic identity
-Be a practicing Catholic, passionate about modeling and teaching the faith

Employment Requirements (prior to start date):
Background check clearance
Signed Diocese of Brooklyn Code of Conduct
Completion of VIRTUS (Protecting God's Children) training
Up-to-date immunization record
Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work
