Job Description

Catholic focused faith-based Reentry taught in the Life Connections Program of the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

This position is a maximum of 30 hours per week. The group is for followers of the Catholic faith. The program is multi-faith and has participants of diverse world religions. The program provides inmates with intensive opportunities for spiritual growth and deepening their religious roots by sharing common space and programs for the purpose of personal transformation and reducing recidivism.

The Spiritual Guide will provide Christian religious instruction based on expertise as it relates to the core curriculum materials.

Requirements :

Must be a member in good standing with a recognized Catholic community and have a minimum of three years of experience as a spiritual leader.
Must possess a ministry or like certification (Sister, Deacon, Clergy, Pastor).
Must possess at minimum a Master's degree from an accredited college or university, in religion, religious education, or theology.
Experience working in an incarceration setting a plus.
Must have lived in the U.S. for three of the last five years.
Life Skills for New Life: Provides personnel for religious services and religious education contracts. The primary focus is on the faith-based offender and ex-offender re-entry education.
