Job Description

Chesterton Academy of Atlanta is seeking a talented and dynamic part-time Music teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year.

The Music teacher is responsible for leading students in musical formation, with a particular emphasis on choral music, sacred music, and music theory, while contributing to the liturgical life and culture of the school.

Key Responsibilities:
-Teach music courses in alignment with the Chesterton Academy curriculum and classical pedagogy
-Lead and develop choral ensembles (and instrumental ensembles, if applicable)
-Prepare students to participate in school liturgies, including Masses and special celebrations
-Introduce students to sacred music, classical composers, and the fundamentals of music theory
-Foster a classroom environment that supports discipline, wonder, and joy
-Collaborate with faculty and administration to support the school's mission and culture
-Participate in school events, faculty meetings, and professional development as required

The candidate must be a practicing Catholic and be willing to make an Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium and a Profession of Faith. Candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, and possess a passion to contribute to the vision and mission of an apostolic and educational enterprise.
